SI “V. Danilevsky Institute for Endocrine Pathology Problems of the NAMS of Ukraine” is a modern multiprofile scientific center whose specialists working on problem solving of clinical and theoretical endocrinology.
The Institute has an Endocrinologycal clinic with a polyclinic department, which is a significant component component of the state system of providing specialized medical care to patients with endocrine pathology.

SI “V. Danilevsky Institute for Endocrine Pathology Problems of the NAMS of Ukraine” was founded in Kharkov in November 1919 as the Organotherapy Institute. The creation of the Institute was the result of the development of scientific ideas of its founder and first director, a scientist with a world name, academician Vasily Yakovlevich Danilevsky.
Since that time the development of Ukrainian endocrinology has begun.

The Institute was founded by Academician and Professor Vasily Yakovlevich Danilevsky (1852–1939).He also served as the Institute's first director from 1919 to 1930.V. Ya. Danilevsky was an outstanding biologist, physiologist, public figure, teacher, and educator.He was elected a member of the German Academy of Sciences,the Morphological and Physiological Societies of the University of Vienna, and an honorary member of the Society of Pathologists at the Pasteur Institute in Paris. He was a pioneer in Russian endocrinology and hormonal preparations.
