SI “V. Danilevsky Institute for Endocrine Pathology Problems of the NAMS of Ukraine” is a modern multiprofile scientific center whose specialists  working on problem solving  of clinical and theoretical endocrinology.

The Institute has an Endocrinologycal clinic with a polyclinic department, which is a significant component component of the state system of providing specialized medical care to patients with endocrine pathology.

Historical reference

SI “V. Danilevsky Institute for Endocrine Pathology Problems of the NAMS of Ukraine” was founded in Kharkov in November 1919 as the Organotherapy Institute. The creation of the Institute was the result of the development of scientific ideas of its founder and first director, a scientist with a world name, academician Vasily Yakovlevich Danilevsky.

Since that time the development of Ukrainian endocrinology has begun.

Засновник В.Я.Данилевський

Ініціатором створення Інституту став академік, професор Василь Якович Данилевський (1852 – 1939). Був і першим директором Інституту з 1919 до 1930 року. В.Я. Данилевський – видатний вчений біолог, фізіолог, громадський діяч, педагог  та просвітник. Був обраним членом Німецької Академії наук, морфологічного та фізіологічного Товариств при Віденському університеті, почесним членом Товариства патологів при Інституті Пастера в Парижі. Стояв у витоків вітчизняної ендокринології та виробництва гормональних препаратів.
