Current member of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, Honored Worker of Science and Technology of Ukraine.
Head of the Surgical Department of the Institute.
He headed the work of the Institute from 1999 to 2023. During his leadership, he raised the scientific and medical work of the Institute to a fundamentally new level. Under his leadership many new scientific schools were created and the activities of existing scientific schools were strengthened.
Organized and headed a Specialized Scientific Council with the right to accept for consideration and defense of dissertations for the degree of Doctor of Medical Sciences in the specialty "endocrinology", in which 20 doctoral and 55 candidate's dissertations are currently defended.
Initiator of the founding and editor-in-chief of the scientific and practical journal “Problems of Endocrine Pathology” which indexed by the Scopus.
He is vice-president of the International Association of Comparative Medicine, headquartered in Beijing (China), a member of the international associations EASD, ETA, ADA, CODHI, INEFE, IDF, etc.
Author and co-author of 626 scientific works, including 15 monographs and textbooks, 65 patents of Ukraine.

   Our institute, founded more than 100 years ago by academician V.Ya. Danilevsky, was the first scientific endocrinological Institution on the territory of the former USSR, and the Endocrinological Clinic of the Institute was the third in the world after the Swiss Medical Center and the Mayo Clinic in the USA.
     During this time, the institute's team has obtained significant results in many areas of clinical and experimental endocrinology. For practical healthcare, technologies have been created for the synthesis of more than 120 drugs for pharmacotherapy of patients with pathologies of the thyroid, pancreas, genital and adrenal glands, and diabetes mellitus. Hundreds of the latest diagnostic and therapeutic technologies have been developed and put into practice.
      Thus, the State Institution “Institute of Endocrine Pathology Problems of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine” is the oldest, and therefore the most authoritative endocrinological institution, the achievements of which are known not only in Ukraine, but also in many countries of the world.
      The powerful team of the Institute, which today employs 40 candidates and 9 doctors of science, 7 professors and one academician of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine, preserves its own centuries-old scientific traditions and increases the achievements of Ukrainian endocrinology.
